Bio
GWINNY
Aaron Gwin is considered one of the world’s best Downhill mountain bikers. He most certainly is the best American Downhill Mountain biker of all time and has the stats to prove both. Aaron started at a very early age racing BMX. He then took a break from bikes and started racing motocross. With injuries being a major concern in Moto he decided to switch back to his bike, but this time downhill mountain biking. His childhood experience of riding BMX and Moto gave him a competitive advantage when getting on a downhill bike and has dominated since. As of now he has won 8 United States National Championships and is a 5 time UCI Downhill World Cup Overall Champion. Aaron became the first American ever to win a World Cup Overall Title and the first man to win 5 World Cup Downhill races in one season. At the start of the 2018 season, Aaron Gwin has won a total of 19 UCI Downhill World Cups, sitting at 2nd overall. Aaron is nowhere near finished. He is still setting goals and staying hungry. He is close behind Greg Minaar’s record of most UCI Downhill World Cup wins and the one race he hasn’t won yet, the coveted World Championship is still in his sights. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Aaron Gwin in Bell Helmets.
