Under the Helmet with Cam Beaubier
What makes a true athlete stand above the rest? Cam Beaubier, five-time championship winner of the MotoAmerica, walks us through a day in the life of an athlete performing at the highest level in the world. For 2021, this 27 year-old highflyer is stepping up to the Moto2 class with sights set on the MotoGP series. Today, Cam is more motivated than ever. And he’s absorbing the tribal knowledge of the elites at lightning speed since recently joining some of the best competitors on the American Racing Team.
Training hard is one principle, finding balance is whole other beast. Cross-training gives Cam a big advantage when it comes to competing in multiple realms of racing. You can find him smashing pedals on his road bike, going hard in the gym with strength and conditioning workouts, and changing things up constantly to keep his body strong and adapting. Learning tracks and traveling the world are also major parts of the lifestyle, and Cam has some work ahead of him to catch up with some hard-edged competition. Yet Cam has two integral components that set him up to shine — his unstoppable mindset and his vision of proudly flying the American flag for his country at the world level.
I know racing at the world level is no joke. I’m really looking forward to it.Cam Beaubier
